I’m not going to tell you to dominate your dog. I’m also not going to tell you your dog is a furry little human who runs the house. Somewhere in between those two is where the good stuff happens — you leading, your dog trusting you enough to follow. That’s the whole method.
Why “Grumpy”?
My grandfather taught me almost everything I know about dogs before I ever set foot in a classroom for it. Everyone calls him Grumpy. He’s not, really — he’s just stubborn, and it turns out dogs are too. Stubborn people who don’t quit are usually the ones who get it right.
